The University stands out for programs such as Bridges to Adelphi and the Social Training Center.

In a recent spotlight on 10 colleges that provide programs for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) posted on the blog of Friendship Circle, Michigan-based nonprofit, Adelphi came up near the top of the list—in third place.

The post cited the University’s signature Bridges to Adelphi program, which “allows students with ASD to attend a four-year university within twenty miles of the excitement of the Big Apple, while getting the help they require to succeed in college.”

Also mentioned in the post was Adelphi’s Social Training Center, a program of its Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, which offers students with ASD “a safe space in which they can freely discuss concerns” and share experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
