If you are a doctoral level psychologist, Adelphi's respecialization program in clinical psychology will facilitate a career shift to community practice. The program focuses on academic work and intensive clinical training, and requires two years of full-time study, supervised clinical practice, and a one-year, full-time internship. Graduates of this program earn a certificate of respecialization in clinical psychology recognized by the American Psychological Association.
Admission Requirements
A doctorate in psychology other than clinical psychology, two years in clinical courses and clerkships, and one year in an internship are required. A dissertation is not required. The average program completion time is three years.
