Master's Programs M.A. in Mental Health Counseling Back to Introduction

Plan of Study
The Master of Arts in mental health counseling is a 60-credit program that includes:
  • 12 required courses (36 credits)
  • A 0-credit practicum totaling 100 hours
  • A 6-credit internship (totaling 900 hours)
  • Six 3-credit elective courses (18 credits)
Please note: Completion of this program requires four regular semesters and one summer session. Required courses includes a 100-hour practicum during the summer session and two internships, totaling a minimum of 900 hours over two semesters, in the second year.
