PIA 289: S/T: Psychology Of The Victim 3 credits A comprehensive analysis of the psychology of the victim and an introduction to victim’s issues. Both theoretical and practical perspectives are reviewed. Topics include the victim within the criminal justice system, interpersonal victimization and domestic violence, stranger victimization, terrorism, learned helplessness and victimhood as a maladaptive psychological defense.
