PIA 210: Psychoanalysis 3 credits An historical and intellectual survey of psychoanalytic theories and methods, beginning with Freud's seminal contributions and continuing through contemporary psychoanalytic models. The course will introduce students to psychoanalytic methods such as dream analysis, the therapeutic model of psychoanalysis, and will also attempt to place the field within a broader intellectual and cultural context.
