Extensive clinical training is a core component in each of Derner's programs. Working under supervision, students hone their skills at clinics on campus and in mental health organizations in the community.

Clinical Facilities
Both the Center for Psychological Services and Postgraduate Psychotherapy Center provide a wealth of clinical experience to meet course requirements and to gain professional experience. Psychologists with extensive, post-doctoral training serve as mentors to students providing diagnostic and consultative services, as well as individual, family, and group therapy to the campus community and the surrounding Long Island/New York metropolitan area.
