Learning at Work: The Adelphi Undergraduate Psychology Internship Program

Garden City, NY, December 10, 2013—A snowfall that began early in the day has blanketed the campus in white and made roads difficult to travel. Yet, the 11 psychology majors who participated in Adelphi’s innovative internship program for undergraduate psychology majors have made it to their final class and are ready to present posters about their internship experiences.

When their professor, Francine Conway, M.A. ’96, Ph.D. ’99, chair of Adelphi’s undergraduate psychology department and creator of the internship program, arrives, the students launch in. What unfolds is a glimpse of the many lessons the students gained from their richly varied experiences.
