Doctoral Psychology Admissions

The Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology is a full-time program that prepares you for a career in community and clinical practice. This may also be combined with an academic or research career. The application deadline for fall admission to the doctoral program is December 1, 2017.

Here are the basic requirements:

  • Completed undergraduate courses in the following:
           – General psychology
           – Experimental psychology
           – Statistics
           – Developmental psychology
           – Abnormal psychology
  • GRE scores, including the General Exam and Psychology Subject Test
  • Individual and group interview
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Essay

Respecialization in Clinical Psychology

For the respecialization in clinical psychology program, applicants are required to have a doctorate in psychology and have completed a dissertation. A personal group interview is required. In addition, if applicants do not already hold a psychology license to practice, they should determine prior to applying whether they are license eligible.
